JULIE SCARDINA appeared regularly for more than 15 years on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, and Jack Hanna’s show Animal Adventures, discussing wildlife and conservation. Scardina serves on the board of the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund and often travels to conservation and environmental projects on all seven continents. She is actively involved with several other conservation organizations, and as a board member for the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders program, she mentors up-and-coming young conservationists. With Jeff Flocken, senior vice president at Humane Society International, Scardina coauthored the inspiring book Wildlife Heroes, which highlights threats to wildlife and wild places across the globe and focuses on 40 people who have committed their lives to preserving species and solving some of the planet’s most pressing environmental issues. She graduated from San Diego State University with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biology.
